Sessions
Currently we meet every Fri (7:00 – 10:00 pm) and Sun (2:00 – 4:30 pm) for open play and training sessions.
Registrations for Technical and Physical classes must be completed at least one week before the scheduled session date. Newbie class registrations are always open. Click here to check the play schedule.
Open Play
Come and join us either for open play format or having free basic lessons about Badminton. This format is walk-in based and involves friendly matches. It is a good way to get started in Badminton, and to familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations of the game. Bring your friends and family.

Technical Sessions
If you're looking to improve the Accuracy, Consistency and Control of your game, then technical lessons are for you. It is for students 7 and older, and all skill levels with a duration of 45 minutes.
Pre-requisite: Basic knowledge of Badminton rules and regulations are required for these sessions.
Physical Sessions
These sessions are more focused on improving your footwork and physical strength through various movement drills. The goal is to build stamina and muscle memory that will help you move more efficiently on the court.

Some of the frequently asked questions
Each training session is $10.00. You can book either single session or multiple up to 6 sessions. There is also a $5.00 gym fee that is paid when arriving for the training session. Walk-ins may be accepted but will be based upon class space availability. There is no training session refund for no shows but there won’t be a gym fee either.
Every time you show up for open play or a training session there is a $5.00 gym fee for the full 2.5 – 3 hours and nylon shuttles are included. Loaner rackets are also available and non-marking shoes are required. If you would like to buy equipment, please contact Eric Lee at shuttlefreaks@gmail.com.
No, currently there are no membership fees. You just pay when you book a session and/or show up for open play.
No, they are different entities. Although both Spokane Badminton Club and Shuttlefreaks members meet at the same place to play and are very closely related, they have different goals and visions.
No. Shuttlefreaks just meet/ operate from West Central Community Center, but this is not permanent place for Shuttlefreaks.
It is up to the individual person based on how they feel about their skill and play level. Both options are open for all individuals, but it is recommended that beginners start with Shuttlefreaks.

No, but we recommend that each individual should separately register for multiple sessions (up to 6) when making a booking. Please do not register multiple people in a session.
